Victorian Carnivorous Plant Society
The VCPS, a non-profit organisation, was formed in January, 1984 to enable interested people to learn more about Carnivorous Plants, especially in relation to Australian growing conditions, to share their knowledge with others interested in these fascinating plants, and to promote the cultivation of Carnivorous Plants. Members are located both in Victoria and in other states of Australia. (And indeed overseas as well!)
Meetings are held each month (see the meetings page for more details), and social gatherings for members and families are held from time to time at a members house.
Our annual show is held in late November or early December, and attracts many interested members of the public, with awards in many different categories going to members showing plants.
Field trips are also organised from time to time, and many species are discovered in their natural habitat, in and around Melbourne.
